Classic Fun by the Sea: A Day at Coney Island

Few places capture old-school Americana quite like Coney Island. Located at the southern tip of Brooklyn, this seaside playground blends nostalgia, beach vibes, and bold New York energy into one unforgettable destination.

It was hard to decide whether we wanted to commit to the hour of subway time there and another back to Midtown, but we decided it was something we wanted to see.  Below is a short video of some of the scenery from the subway.

The first stop? Nathan’s Famous. This legendary hot dog stand has been serving up the city’s most iconic frankfurters since 1916.

Next door is a candy store where I had a dipped marshmallow on a stick with peanuts.

The boardwalk has a nice restroom and provides a great entry to the beach.

I captured video of some of the rides on Coney Island
